Hard Waxy Stool
Ibs. Sometimes have hard bms. Sometimes soft loose. Sometimes very mushy green bile. Water looks very greasy oily. What causes this?
24 month boy. I've noticed dark grape like balls in stool. Very little stool with them. Mucus, globs of soft but solid rope twisted chunks. ?
Give more fiber+H2O: Important details: ? weight gain, abdominal pain? frequency of bm's? If your child is happy, stooling regularly and seems healthy, then stool appearance is less important. Should get evaulated: Being a 26 y/o female, it is likely that you have irritable bowel syndrome and with the frequent loose stools can cause significant anal/perianal irritation, at times bleeding from it. If you have been having symptoms for yrs, ibs is likley. If this is new, something else maybe causing your symptoms such as ulcerative colitis etc..I recommend consulting your doc for an eval. Multiple reasons: Interfere diet has changed where you are not taking in adequate fiber will have soft and mushy stool. Also if there is a reason to have increased water in urine or stool from gastrointestinal disorder like malabsorption this could be the reason. Any reason that you might have developed diabetes? Not likely: It is very unlikely that you have colon cancer. But if you have anemia and bleed on passing stool, you must see your doctor for an evaluation. It may be as simple as taking a fiber laxative to soften the stool and taking iron supplement to correct iron deficiency.
