When my stomach is empty sometimes it gets extremely bloated and hurts to the point its hard to stand up straight...Also bloating after coffee. Reason?
See your doctor: Bloating is often the distention of the bowels due to gas buildup. This can be due to things we eat - like coffee. If you can pinpoint triggers then avoid these foods. I find it hard to study more than 3 hours straight without getting a headache or loosing focus, exams are coming up, what can I do?
EatWell-PaceYourself: You have to 'listen' to your body. If you force it, your study efficiency will plummet, so take a break for 20-30 minutes or longer, whatever will regenerate you. Go for a walk or lie down, maybe even nap. But just getting horizontal will help. And do some stretches, loosen up. If you are walking you'll come up with questions or ideas for further study. If you are lying or stretching you'll relax ...Read more

Does scoliosis make labor harder? Also does it make it harder putting the epidural shot in straight?
It depends: A mild degree of scoliosis should not be a problem. It usually affects the upper (thoracic) part of the spine, and the lower (lumbar) portion may be normal. However, a more severe degree of scoliosis may require surgery such as harrington rods. If this has been done, an epidural may not be possible. Can a pinched nerve behind the knee cause the medial head of the gastrocnemius to stick out? The medial head sticks out in a straight line, very hard.
Be systematic: Nerves generally don't get "pinched" in the popliteal fossa. In any case, a "pinched" nerve would likely cause weakness of a muscle, not hardness or spasm. Baker's cysts, which occur in the popliteal fossa, usually aren't hard like bone. Something that feels hard is likely to be bone. So maybe something bony deep to the muscle is pushing it backward/outward. See a doctor and have it examined. ...Read more
