Hard Painful Lump On Testicle
I get this hard knot/lump on bottom of right testicle that flares up, it comes and goes and is painful.
See answer: Symptoms consistent with recurrent epididymitis and the "lump" you feel is likely the swollen, tender, inflamed lower portion of the epididymis which is a sausage-shaped gland that lies adjacent to the posterior-lateral aspect of the testicle through which sperm pass from the testicle to the vas deferens. To verify and/or get a definitive diagnosis, best to see a urologist when lump occurs again.
The testicles are the two oval male gonads, or reproductive glands, located in the scrotum. The seminiferous tubules of the testis are the site of spermatogenesis and its leydig cells secrete testosterone. The term testicles is synonymous with testes or gonads. The singular form is ...Read more
Husband is just mentioning a hard fixed lump in testicle which is not painful and has grown in size over last few months any thoughts?
Must rule out cancer: A swollen testicle or one with a lump, especially one that feels firm, is a sign to go see the doctor this week. One can see his primary care doctor first, who may refer to the radiologist and urologist to further evaluate and do an ultrasound scan, if testicular cancer is suspected. If there is a cancer, it is treatable by removal of the testicle, and getting follow-up care.
Agree: And you need to have this lump checked asap. Testicular cancer is not very common, but it's highly curable when caught early, and very bad when it's not caught early. Some men are reluctant to have it checked because they are afraid of the answer. Reacting with fear and not getting it checked can be a life or death mistake. Have it checked now.See 2 more doctor answers
See your doctor: Testicular lumps can be cancer or benign. You don't want to take a chance of misdiagnosing yourself. Testicular cancer can be extremely aggressive so don't delay. Go see your doctor for a thorough exam. S/he may order an ultrasound to determine if you have a mass inside the testicle, but hopefully it is something benign such as a cyst or varicocele (dilated blood vessels). Good luck!
Here are some. ..: Is a "tiny" lump on scrotal skin or its wall or inside the scrotum? Being on or in scrotal wall, it can be easily palpated by ordinary hands; if inside the sac, a tiny lump is not easy for ordinary inexperienced hand to differentiate if it's on or inside or outside the testis, but such indeed terrifies some men. So, have the experienced hands to help you figure it out as needed. Best wish. .See 1 more doctor answer
PreserveFamilyJewels: Time for a checkup. There's a small structure up there called the appendix testis (yes, appendix testis) that can get clogged, which doesn't mean much but should be verified just to make sure it isn't something more serious, especially at your age. It hasn't been emphasized enough that men in their teens and twenties check their testes for masses. I'd suggest getting your girlfriend to do it...Fun
I have a small lump just above my right testicle. It isn't painful and is squishy. Only noticeable when my testicle is pushed up. Any clue?
I have a hard white lump on my testicle for years now. It doesn't usually cause me pain but recently popped and now is starting to. Is this bad?
Here are some. ..: What you described is not enough to know if the hard lump is in the scrotal wall or really inside the scrotum because many laypersons tend to describe a lump in the scrotal wall as in the testicle. If in scrotal wall, such hard lump is most likely a sebaceous cyst which may develop superimposed infection like a boil. If inside the sac, it requires a direct look and palpation to. .. + / - US for DxSee 1 more doctor answer

See a doctor: This could be so many things. See a doctor for an exam and maybe an ultrasound.
Testicle growth: Any testicular growth must be evaluated by a urologist. Testicular cancer is a curable disease if found early. Many growths in the scrotum are not cancer, but checking is prudent.
