Hard Lymph Nodes
If u have two small hard lymph nodes. Not pain full at all. What could this be? No other symptoms. Been tested for everything.
Need more info : The possibilities for causes runs quite a long list, but most commonly includes infection, just normal, and in rare cases, cancer. What do you mean by you've been tested for "everything"? It also depends on where the lymph node is located and change in size. Your info says you've had BV treated recently. If the lymph nodes are in your groin region, that could be the cause. See your dr to discuss. ...Read more

It depends: Hardness may be caused by the fact that the lymph node is scarred from an old infection, so it's not necessarily a sign of current disease. One has to look for other clues at the same time: size, mobility, rate of growth, pain, tenderness, etc. And of course other general signs of illness. All these factors come into play in determining the cause-and hence seriousness-of a swollen node. ...Read more

Get it checked: Small swollen lymph nodes and GI symptoms could be related to virus such as cold, flu, or gastroenteritis (although this does not usually cause swollen lymph nodes). If a lymph node feels hard, fixed in place, and does not go away within a week, it should be checked by a doctor to make sure it is not something more serious. ...Read more
Are cancer lymph nodes easy to notice on ultrasound? If professional told me not to worry about my hard lymph nodes (i, ii, v region) should I let it go
?Hard lymph nodes su: I would be suspicious if the lymph nodes are palpable and are hard when you feel them with your hand. Ultrasound can be a reasonable screen for enlarged and even malignant lymph nodes, but it is not 100% reliable. So if the primary tumor is high risk for metastasis, i would want to surgically remove the lymph nodes for microscopic examination. That is the only 100% reliable test for cancerdetecti. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Monitoring Centers: Lymphatic system absorbs/carries things too big to go into the arteries/veins like bacteria eaten by white cells and digested food. Lymph nodes "taste" the lymph for anything bad like bacteria/viruses/cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts. They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react. They shrink when all is well. ...Read more
I have a single hard lymph node in the side of my neck just above the clavicle I have a single hard lymph node in the side of my neck just above the clavicle it's not painful and it has the same size of a single grain of peas it has been there for about a
Enlarged : Enlarged lymph nodes or "lymphadenopathy" are very common. Lymph nodes are part of the immune system and enlarge with white blood cells to fight off infections when they detect a foriegn substance such as a virus or bacteria. (ever notice lumps in your neck with a sore throat?) usually these nodes shrink back down to normal size a few weeks after the infection is over, but can sometimes stay enlarged. No one is quite sure why this happens, but it's usually harmless. Other illnesses such as autoimmune disease or cancer can cause enlarged lymph nodes, but often multiple nodes are involved, they can get very large, keep growing instead of shrinking and are associated with other symptoms such as fever, chills, weight loss, rash, etc. Presuming that you have no other symptoms besides this noticeable but unchanging node, odds of it being anything dangerous are extremely low. Reasons to see your doctor would include an enlarging node, more noticeable nodes appearing, any other signs of illness or if it concerns you and you just want it checked out. ...Read more

Lump behind ear: Did you have a complete physical exam and work up to figure out why do you have that lump? Is it a lymph node or a lump of fat or a cyst? Ask him about a biopsy, which should give you a more definite answer. ...Read more
