Hard Lump On Bottom Of Big Toe
I have a small hard lump on the bottom of my foot near the arch. My big toe is numb on the inside of the same foot. Is this related? Should I worry?
My 10 month old baby's bottom of big toe has what looks like a lump (soft) and is bright red? What could thos be?
Toe push off.: It would reasonable to assume that you baby will use his legs to forcibly push his feet against anything his foot can come in contact with. Check to see if this is not happening. Foot or toe pressure against the crib, for example. Could be the beginning of a inflamed toe secondary to pressure. ...Read more
I have had a lump on the bottom of big toe on right foot for 5 days. It swollen, red and burning pain, at least at times. I do have RA. I was thin?
How red, how hot.: I guess RA might be a possibility, but my money goes with gout as a better possibility. There could be a cellulitis secondary to overuse, trauma or even foreign body insertion. Clearly, possibilities would be better understood with a evaluation of the area and some simple testing. ...Read more
See a doctor!: Lumps and bumps cannot be accurately diagnosed by a brief written description. See a doctor in person, or consider a Healthtap Prime Consult with a doctor, where you may upload a picture and give a more detailed history. Or see if a Healthtap Concierge doctor or podiatrist can do a virtual consult about this. The most accurate diagnosis, though, is an in-person exam. ...Read more
I have a lump on the underside if my big toe for a few months now. Its kinda hard and white. No puss or drainage if any kind. Its painful.
Keratosis or wart:

These are readily treated by your primary care doctor or dermatologist. ...Read more

Fractured left foot when younger now big toe has hard lumps around it and throbbing pain and now next toe has lump on it.?
If you fractured: Your left foot when younger I would doubt what you are complaining about now is related to it. Hard lumps could be anything from corns to warts etc, would really need to see them to give a more accurate diagnosis. If you can't post a pic then see a doctor in person. ...Read more
Six weeks ago suffered small chip fracture on big toe. Little pain now, but small hard lump present that rubs. Should I be concerned?
This may get better!: Though it's been six weeks, it is still a bit early in the overall healing process. The small hard lump you describe may be a soft tissue reaction related to the fracture. Hopefully, it is not the bone itself that has healed with prominence. The former will improve over time. The latter will remain and might require a small surgical procedure to remove this bone prominence in the future as needed. ...Read more
Why is there a hard lump on my big toe? I stubbed it. I have Osteogenesis Imperfecta Type 8 and Reflex Neurovascular Dystrophy. Urgent help needed!
It would have to be: Determined if the lump is on the skin, below the skin or if bone involvement. IF it was not there before the stubbing then it could be a contusion or possibly a fracture in which case an X-ray should be performed. ...Read more
Intermittent s pain in big toe, red hard lump, no heat, swelling, shoes don't affect it, worse at evening, feels like circulation cut off, bunion or gout?
Could be either: A painful, swollen big toe joint that occurs from time to time is likely to be gout or other type of arthritis. A permanent bump that is more painful after wearing shoes all day is more likely to be a bunion. By your description, bunion is more likely. See an orthopedic foot doctor or podiatrist for an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. ...Read more

Hard to tell:
It doesn't sound like an abcess. Either way you should be seen by a podiatrist. Any lump that becomes larger with time can be cause for concern. Hard to say without seeing it. It could be a cyst, a skin lesion, a vascular growth, infection. Get seen.

On May 25th I sliced the tip of my big toe open. It's healed completely, but still hurts horribly when I "stub" it & there's a numb lump under my toe?
Yikes.: The tips of toes, and fingers for that matter, just don't like to be sliced. They are typically a painful heal and the injured pain receptors will take many months to calm down completely. The numb lump is either part of the initial injury or secondary due to an altered gait. Either way, it too, will more that likely pass. I speak from experience. ...Read more

Mysterious Lump.: Considering the time frame of a couple of hours and assuming that this lump has not been there all along, without being noticed, there are few possibilities. A leaking blood vessel, filling the available tissue space with fluid. This leak could be caused by a low grade trauma un noticed by at the time.
