Hello, i had hernia surgery 6 days ago now above my navel thers a hard like lump and very tender is this normal?

Belly Button Bump: Need to know if it was done endoscopically (which I would assume) or via a surgical incision. But--if no endoscope was used, then a doctor would need more info to help decide if related to the surgery ...Read more

Could a mass in between the lung and heart be scar tissue from a hernia surgery?

See doctor: It is unlikely that the mass could have arisen from a hernia surgery. Hernias are near the surface of the body, while this sounds like it is deeper. It could be something serious, like a malignancy, so you might need a biopsy. See your doctor for a full evaluation. ...Read more

If the hard lump is large and visible however, there could be a collection of blood (hematoma) or fluid (seroma), both if which should resolve on their own.
