Yes: Hfm is caused by enteroviruses, spread by fecal-oral route. It's most contagious during the week when there is symptoms but the disease itself will go away spontaneously after about 1 week. It's most commonly seen in children. Mainly, keep well hydrated with ice cold liquid or soft diet and Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen as needed for pain. Take care. ...Read more

Depends: Hfm may cause blisters to form in no or all these areas + on bottom. The mouth blisters are the most likely to cause pbs. If they are bad, baby or toddler may refuse feeds & fluids & get dehydrated & the smaller the kid the more risk of dehydration. Some strains produce more blisters than others.
