You should get : Evaluated. It is possible that the blood caused a neuritis. However, it is also possible that the back symptoms are unrelated to the blood patch. A neurologist will help you figure it out. The anesthesiologist who performed the blood patch will want to know and likely will help, you find a good neurologist. ...Read more

Blood patch: Tyleno is ok, i would stay clear of Aspirin and motrin. If fever or back continues to hurt i would let the doctor who did the blood patch know about these symptoms. ...Read more

Pityriasis: What you are describing sounds like pityriasis rosea. It is not serious nor contagious. The cause of pityriasis has yet to be uncovered although some believe it is viral. The rash from pityriasis usually lasts about 6-8 weeks and goes away without treatment. If it is itchy you can try OTC Benadryl (diphenhydramine). Avoid hot showers, they can make the rash worse.
