Hi I think I have a hairline fracture. My leg is bruising badly, it also feels tingly and numb, and I can barely walk on it. Any help?

No Wt on it-Xray: Swelling and bruising causes the nerves to be compressed, this produces numbness along with the all the other processes of inflammation. This should get an x-ray. Hello I took my full leg cast of 5 days ago (due to a hairline fracture in my tibia) I have been walking with a limp and saw my ankle got swollen?

PT may be in order: Physical therapy can address the gait issue with limping as this is likely related to muscle weakness. In addtion they can do soft tissue massage to alleviate the ankle swelling. This can occur when muscles are weak and do not provide enough pumping action to return blood to the heart. Check in w/your Orthopedist or Sports MD to get a prescription &/or agreement on next steps to get your gait normal ...Read more
