Casts can cause-: -pressure sores on the heel, initially such pressure is painful, if progressive pressure remains it will lead 2 full thickness loss, then the pain goes away. The cast should not have been removed by U. U need it 2 immobilize the fracture. Hairline Fx's often lead 2 progression 2 a none union except in kids. Get in 2 C Ur orthopedist. ...Read more

If the fracture is: Not healed and you re-injure, recovery will be delayed and you risk permanent damage to the origninal fracture i=or injury elsewhere by guarding the original fracture placing added stress on other joints. My advice is to sit this one out. There will be other games. ...Read more

No Wt on it-Xray: Swelling and bruising causes the nerves to be compressed, this produces numbness along with the all the other processes of inflammation. This should get an x-ray. The only way for this to be treated properly is to find out the extent of injury. It is always good to start with rice-rest-ice, compression, and elevation. ...Read more

PT may be in order: Physical therapy can address the gait issue with limping as this is likely related to muscle weakness.In addtion they can do soft tissue massage to alleviate the ankle swelling. This can occur when muscles are weak and do not provide enough pumping action to return blood to the heart.
