Depends on cause...: One's primary care doctor can check for medical causes. If none are found, then one can see a dermatologist, especially one specializing in hair restoration (some treatments: minoxidil, finasteride, hair transplants, ...). Medical causes may include: hormonal problems (low thyroid), seborrhea, alopecia areata, stressful illness. Other causes: genetic male/female pattern baldness, telogen effluvium. ...Read more

Does herbal medicals for hair loss and hair regrowth actually prevent and are there any approval herbals for hair loss and regrowth..?

In women this decreased estrogen results in an increase in testosterone relative to the estrogen. This elevation of testosterone causes the hair loss. Other things unrelated to menopause but happen during middle age years of life can cause hair loss such as vitamin deficiency and thyroid deficiency. ...Read more

I read some meds can break down collagen in hair follicles and cause hair loss. Any foods to eat to help build levels up to promote hair regrowth?

Internet fantasy: There's not even any collagen worth speaking of in hair follicles. I've been looking at them under the microscope for a half a century.
