Other possibilities.: The Thyroid is not the only endocrine gland that affects metabolism, mood, menstrual cycles and hair follicle activity in women your age. It's quite possible that you are experiencing peri-menopause, or that you have Vitamin D deficiency. Has the enlargement of the thyroid gland been confirmed/examined with ultrasound? Exposure...: I don't know if someone has seen you for this and if you have been treated but I would say that if you still have the dye that caused the reaction and still causing problems then it could be a good idea to get rid of it. In any case, I would rather tell you to be seen and have someone give you formal diagnosis and treatment before you do anything. This might be related to some other problems. ...Read more
