Normal flora: Hemophilus influenzae is a little unusual to be isolated from a vaginal swab, but this organism is part of our normal bacterial population, primarily found in the upper respiratory tract. See below: I am assuming you are being treated for pneumonia. The medications you are taking are often effective for H.influenza if given in adequate dosage. Depending of the antibiotic sensitivity testing you may need a change in treatment.
