Try not to worry. The fact that you took Plan B so soon after intercourse, regardless of ovulation means the greater the chance that it will work in preventing pregnancy. Some people experience a period early after taking plan b, others do not. If you don't get your period on the 20th, then you can take an early prediction pregnacy test.

Will plan b work me and my girlfriend had unprotected sex and I think a drop got in it happen on a Friday and she took the pill Sunday and was also ovulating?
Late: Plan B may work but at best it is only 95% effective and that is if it is taken within the first 24 hr. After unprotected sex. The effectiveness falls the longer after sex it is taken. After the fact, taking it as soon as possible is the only option. Now, however, is the time for her to start a more reliable method of contraception if she isn't pregnant and use condoms to decrease the risk of STDs ...Read more
I had unprotected sex a day before ovulation. Took Plan B 23 hours afterwards. I am overweight, could that have effected the pills ability to work?
Perhaps: There is some evidence that emergency contraception (EC) progestin-only pills are less effective if your BMI is >30. Ella/ulipristal acetate may be more effective than the Plan B/progestin only. Having a copper IUD inserted as EC is the most effective, 99%, equally so among all women regardless of weight. Reliable non-emergency contraception is your goal. Best wishes:) ...Read more

Prevent pregnancy: If you were already taking birth control pills properly for more than 14 days, no need to take Plan B although you can if you want to. A better "double up" protection in the future is to add condoms to the birth control pills. This combination provides excellent pregnancy prevention and cuts down on the transmission of STIs. ...Read more

Relax, you're ok: Plan B is reportedly 95% effective if taken within the first 24 hours after unprotected sex. Exceptions would be if your body weight is elevated over 165#, as it becomes slightly less effective. If you are pregnant, a home pregnancy test is usually reliable about the time of your missed period, and definitely a week after. Insist on condoms in the future to avoid risk of both pg and infection. ...Read more
If I am in the ovulation stage of the month and I had unprotected sex, can Plan B still be effective?
Yep: Some reports say up to 5 days after intercourse but yes, go get some if you ovulated and had sex. That is the mid portion of the cycle and when the egg is released. Egg being released and sperm in uterus from sex equals baby, unplanned. Unplanned pregnancy is one of the biggest correaltions to lifetime poverty; just sayin, go get some medicine. ...Read more

I had unprotected sex on ovulation day with withdrawal. Took plan b after 12 hours. Will plan b still work?
Try Ulipristal/Ella: Unfortunately the primary mechanism of Plan B is the prevention of ovulation, but if the cat's already out of the bag, meaning you've already ovulated, then there might not be very much that Plan B can do. You may however call your doctor and ask for a script for Ulipristal or EllaOne which is more effective than Plan B and safe for the prevention of pregnancy at up to 120 hours. So sorry to hear!: It is so hard to get back to normal after having such a loss. I am guessing that you will be okay here and not get pregnant right away.
