I am a diabetic and have not had a period for months. I have taken a pregnancy test and it has come up negative. What could be t my blood sugars are not controlled.

Amenorrhea : Amenorrhea (absent period) is obviously caused by pregnancy; if pregnancy is not the case other issues that can cause amenorrhea are hormonal changes, significant weight gain or loss, stress/anxiety, perimenopausal(beginning of menopause); thryorid disorders, and diabetes. I : I am not sure about those nausea and faint feelings but there is little doubt that you have diabetes if your sugar was above 200 randomly. Nausea and feeling faint are not typical symptoms of diabetes. But you might feel better once you have that diagnosis confirmed and you get your sugar/diabetes under control. Check in with your doctor to get a fasting glucose measurement, hemoglobin a1c, other chemistries and an exam to check blood pressure, pulse etc. Take care and i hope you don't stop walking see the link below. ...Read more
