Prostate cancer: Not all prostate cancers requires tx. Tx decision depends on staging, PSA, gleason score, etc. TURP is used to treat BPH, or symptomatic prostate cancer. But it does not cure prostate cancer because it only removes portion of prostate. Early stage prostate cancer is usually treated with radical prostectomy or radiation.
