I'm planning on moving. Where can I find information about high risk pregnancy, hospitals, mfm doctors, nicus?
Medical Society: Most towns have a medical society which is familiar with the local docs or resources. You can also call any local hospital or better yet, ask an l & d nurse whom she'd use. Other options include phone directories, web-sites, or see if your current doc knows someone. Acog also has a doctor "finder" feature which is helpful to find a board-certified doc. Good luck. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

A 60-90 minute evaluation might cost $350, and psychotherapy fees might be $250-$300 an hour. There are variations in this, of course. I maybe some colleagues from la, new york city, or san francisco will comment. ...Read more
What does these mean: estradiol 30.84pg/ml, FSH 2.73mui/ml, LH 4.70mui/ml, progesterone 1.58mg/ml (tests done today). I'm currently on midcycle period?
Non-specific: These numbers are all "normal" but they do not determine anything specific. It is helpful to know what cycle day they were done and why. I'd "guess" these are pre-ovulatory based on the FSH and the E2, but the progesterone could be borderline ovulatory. Best guess is before ovulation but impossible to say how soon. Best wishes. ...Read more
Follow levels: Fsh >25 indicates poor ovarian function, however the ovarian hormone levels change in ovulating women and high fsh is normal during ovulation cycle. Therefore, in the presence of menopausal symptoms, a high fsh could mean that you are entering into menopause. I check estrogen and Progesterone with the fsh and if the fsh is high and the other two low, then you are most likely in menopause. ...Read more
