Comorbidity: The pain can be easily confused because the two areas are so close. Sinus infection usually bilaterally, the sinus pain is exacerbated by lowering the head and is increased by stepping hard on the heel (climbing stairs) the diagnosis is confirmed by appropriate imaging. This is concerning: A tooth infection that has spread to adjacent unrelated areas can be a sign of a potential big problem. She really needs to find help. Start on an antibiotic... Perhaps Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) 500 mg 4x per day if there is a pharmacy there. Otherwise pull the tooth and remove the source of the infection. ...Read more
