Two possibilities : 1: you have one of the several gum diseases. You should talk to your dentist about treatment or referral to specialist; or 2: you are traumatizing the sensitive gum tissues between the teeth with improper technique. Usually indicative of "snapping" the floss thru the contact or "sawing" the gums between the teeth. Your dentist and hygienist can help you learn proper technique to avoid self harm. ...Read more

Your post did not say if you are currently being treated... if not,, DO NOT attempt to treat this on your own.
