Gum And Tooth Pain Worse When Lie Down
Jaw pain on left side, wisdom tooth has been grown in for years. Loose flap of skin/gum near the tooth, pain up and down jaw bone?
Jaw pain: I'm not sure what your question is. Since you are in pain, especially with an ongoing problem that has not gone away for years, the logical and smart approach would be to see a dentist to evaluate the need to remove your problematic wisdom tooth and make sure you have no other dental problems that require treatment.See 4 more doctor answers
See a Dentist ASAP: If you have a toothache, you may have a cavity or advanced gum disease. A tooth pain won't go away without treatment and the infection may spread to your jaw, cheeks, sinus and to other areas of your head and neck. You can use Tylenol (acetaminophen) for pain control. See a dentist ASAP for assessment and treatment.See 4 more doctor answers
Red Flag Warning: Pain, bleeding, and swelling are your bodies chief signals to your brain that something is really wrong. Pain in the oral cavity usually means spreading infection. As mouth pain means airway involvement, as as oral infections have been linked to so many systemic disasters, heed your bodies warning and call a dentist now, not tonight, not tomorrow, not next week, now!See 4 more doctor answers
Tooth pain: Can be caused by a host of problems. What produces the pain is extremely helpful in determining the cause. For example- pain on pressure (bite problem, inflamed nerve, root fracture); pain to sweets (microleakage around filling); sensitivity to cold (exposed dentin, cementum); pain to heat relieved by cold (necrotic nerve); other possibilities as well. Your pain: Is more than likely associated with gum recession, localized inflammation, exposure of root structure. If its in the lower anterior midline, could also result from a muco-gingival defect, requiring a gum graft and a frenectomy. Seldom does sinus involvement have an effect on lower anterior teeth. Best to bd seen by a dentist. All the best.See 4 more doctor answers
My teeth were extracted over a yr ago and I have spots on gum where it feels like a very bad tooth pain if I touch it?
Could be bone chip: After extractions there are often bits of bone that are rejected by the body and work their way out through the gums over time. If a piece is just under the surface it could make a sore spot. If it isn't a bone chip or bone spur something may be going on. Either way see your dentist to have it checked out. Good luck.See 3 more doctor answers
I had a left lower inner tooth pain for a month before 2 weeks. Now I have gum swelling under the same tooth and with no pain on tooth and gum.?
Infection: Your description of progressive symptoms sounds like an infection is present in this area it could be in the tooth or the related structures. I strongly advise you to have the area examined immediately to avoid the possible spread of the infection. Your dentist will be able to identfy the source and recommend the required treatment.See 5 more doctor answers
