Alternative medicine: This medication is used, but safety and efficacy has not been established. I prefer not to promote or advise against use of this product as I am not familiar with it. The largest dose I see in my reference is 3 grams daily for weight loss purposes (or 3,000mg daily). Hope this helps. Try speaking with your doctor for his/her opinion. Best of luck. ...Read more
News to me: This is generally recognized as being as safe as coffee. Politics drives what is banned and not banned in the usa; totally safe stuff like saccharin are illegal, while obviously dangerous plant products comfrey and graviola remain in the shelves. If a celebrity dies while taking a supplement (as happened with guarana) there's usually a foolish media circus. ...Read more

My best guess is that because the first energy drinks had taurine all the others have it because people now expect energy drinks to have it!see comment:. ...Read more

Probably: but WHY are you mixing all these so called "supplements"? They may be OK with each other (in moderation) but are certainly NOT a good idea with certain Prescription medications and you NEVER know when you might need a Doctor's Prescription!!! \ Hope this helps! Not proven: There is a lack of scientific information on this. I would suggest discussing all your current medications and supplements with your oncologist to see what the interactions may be. Some nutritional supplements seem encouraging but in general lack rigorous testing. But, if you perceive benefit and your physician does not feel that it will harm than i in general encourage patients to consider. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
