I have a small wart like growth in my pubic area where it joins with the groin. It has a thin base and is easily movable and shiny texture. What is it?
Wart vs skin tag: A doctor can help decide what it is -or you can upload a pic here on Healthtap and get a diagnosis. Either way, it sounds like it could easily be ablated -or destroyed. Ideally a doctor could do that by freezing it off with liquid nitrogen, or giving you medication to try chemical destruction. I would favor the first option, as it's in a sensitive area. Doubt warts, see MD: The groin usually means where the thigh meets the abdomen. That's an unusual location for warts, and warts don't bleed or itch. So probably it's something else. (But HPV cause sall warts, so if you have warts, it's HPV.) Syphilis is much more rare and probably unlikely. Stop trying to guess or to figure it out on this or any other forum. See a doctor to learn what you have Good luck! ...Read more
