My 8 month old grandson has always had green stools but lately he has also been a little constipated having dark grey stools. Should i be concerned?
My 6 week old son has had 3 diapers of grey stool.Soft, clay like, starts out grey and then it turn into the normal seedy yellow stool. Is this normal?
Short answer, yes: His GI tract is still getting used to digestion. As long as the stool normalized as you say, i don't think there is a problem. Similar things happened with our 3 kids, all resolved by next bowel movement, was transient, and not associated with any other symptoms like pain, crying, vomiting, feeding difficulty, etc. If this is the case, no worries.
