Not a big fan: Xanax (alprazolam) is not a great medication for ongoing use to treat anxiety; antidepressants usually are much better. That said, anxiety and adhd often co-exist, and it is common to treat both for best effect. Some nonstimulants such as atomoxetine and Guanfacine may help with both adhd and anxiety. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I take hydrocodone, cyclobenzaprine, amitriptyline, xanax, (alprazolam) and cymbalta. Xanax (alprazolam) as needed, cymbalta brand new - causing nausea. Can I take ondansetron?
Wouldn't recommend: you are already on several drugs which inhibit serotonin reuptake, increasing their levels - amitriptylene, Cymbalta (duloxetine) and cyclobenzaprine all have that potential, and ondansetron does it big time. Yes, but why?: Babyshiela1991--based on your previous question, these meds are not helping you and so why take them? I suggest that you reconsult your doc and really talk about how you feel. You may want to talk to a psychiatrist. There are better treatment for anxiety/panic attacks than xanax (alprazolam) and propranolol. Good luck to you. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
