Are turtles safe pets for kids?

Are turtles safe pets for kids?

Maybe: I would never suggest a turtle to an immunocompromised child. Even healthy children can get salmonella from handling their pet turtles. Can tight turtle necks negatively affect your child's health?

Can tight turtle necks negatively affect your child's health?

No but not safe: Tight turtle necks do not have a specific affect on health but it is a choking risk. If the garment becomes caught on something, a tight neckline leaves very little room for safety and can compromise breathing. A loose neckline is best. Much regards.
