What would cause an adult to have green stools? Is it something to worry about? Is it a sign of bowel cancer?
Green stool color: The color of stool varies with foods, speed of emptying of the GI tract, medications & supplements ingested, gut flora (unique for each individual), additives (like blood), subtractions (like absent bile), infection, inflammation, & other factors. Consider what you ate in the last few days, but if greenish color is unusual for you & persists or is accompanied by other symptoms, see your doctor. ...Read more

My 3 week old is having a lot of white chunks come through her green bowels. She has had 5 bowel movements today and the chuncks look almost like popcorn pieces. She is a formula fed baby. (changed formulas recently)?
May be a problem: The white chunks imply that baby is not generating enough bile additives to stain the poo a uniform color. There is some bile or you wouldn't have the green mixed in. If this persists through the weekend i would take baby in along with a sample diaper & have you pcp look into this. There are conditions that block the bile from flowing in infancy & success of some rx requires DX before 6wks. ...Read more
High pain tolerance Awaken at 5am sweating in upper abdomen pain threw up due to pain... Loose bowels all day, now green. Heat helps not pain meds?
Everybody different: However, in the perfect world the answer would be one or two. What causes adult (Male) transient small bowel intussusception , multiple severe episodes during 3 years time frame ?

Consider increasing the fiber content of your diet by eating a pound of vegetables and fruits a day and transitioning some/most of your proteins to beans and grains, for longevity and improved colon health. ...Read more

Probably benign: In the absence of any symptoms, other than gas, this is probably not serious. Segmental thickening of the small bowel is of uncertain significance.
