Proven vs unproven: By definition, "alternative" is different than modern western medicine. Generally any drug, herb, treatment, or procedure that stands up to rigorous scientific scrutiny is included in modern medicine. The problem is that many alternative practices, herbs etc do not stand up to scientific scrutiny and cannot be shown to work. They therefore remain "alternative". Soup may comfort but not cure. ...Read more
No: In today's scientific world, truth can't be suppressed, and an easy cure would be known almost at once. There is nothing that any of us can do about a promotion by a self-styled persecuted genius and good, simple people who want easy, wrong answers. A politically-driven public study just caused cancer patients to get brain damage from the stuff also. ...Read more

Usually: In general, yes. There are many different types of skin cancer, and they all behave differently. As mentioned above, if caught early, all cancers are very curable. Maybe: There have been numerous studies on prostate cancer prevention. There are two related drugs, Finasteride and dutasteride, which were shown in large trials, to reduce the risk of developing prostate cancer by about 25%. The fda did not approve these drugs for cancer prevention because a higher percentage of the cancers which did develop were high grade, or more aggressive. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Yes/no: It's one of the worst cancers and the cure rates are low. It also depends on the stage and location of the tumor. Some early detected cancers with a tumor location away from the duodenum and biliary pathways carry better prognosis than other types. Also, the longer the tumor doesn't give out metastasis, the higher the chance of cure. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Cancer management: Short of a miracle (always possible), there is no 'cure' of stage IV colon cancer by man. No.: There have been zero studies in humans regarding graviola fruit extract efficacy in the treatment of cancer. Overall, the data regarding gfe as a cancer treatment is exceedingly limited. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Of course not: This is one of the most vicious cancer frauds being promoted. Unlike laetrile, the plant is actually a deadly poison and causes brain damage in the guadeloupe islanders who eat it. There is nothing "spiritual" or "open-minded" about believing obvious lies. Don't reward these people for lying to you by buying their product "because it doesn't cost that much.". ...Read more

Cruel frauds: I was actually the guy who blew the whistle on the zeolite fraud. It's the clay used in water softeners, now sold for $100/drop. My friend has leukemia and i heard about the new cancer fighting properties of graviola. Is it safe to give her dynamic health graviola juice blend in?
Cruel fraud: This is the thorn-apple, a semi-poisonous plant. The hateful language that many of its salespeople use about a "conspiracy to suppress a cure" should be enough to tell you that it's phony. I'm sorry about your friend, but don't give a penny to the people who are seeking to make a fast buck by smearing the physicians who've tried to save her -- and still may. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Some examples are Dr Lorraine Day's 10 Step Program for Cancer Treatment and Eden Valley Institute of Wellness. These are both great adjunctw. Best wishes! ...Read more

Sometimes: Cancer is a few thousand different diseases that have in common destabilization of the genome, making it very tough to cure once it's no longer localized enough to remove surgically. There will never be a single medicine to cure this, and some will remain intractable. ...Read more
Hard to say.: I'm sure the future of medicine holds promise for lots of people and many medical conditions.
