Gram Stains Negative But Pain In Urethra
Diagnosed with clymydia, took a gram of azithromycin. Week/2 week I still feel" sore urethra " no discharge. Worried about hiv-Took test 2/3 week neg?
Return to doctor: Chlamydia is not a likely cause of "sore urethra" and for sure HIV doesn't do this. Heterosexually transmitted HIV is more rare than you might think from the media; the chance you caught it is extremely low. How reassuring your HIV test is depends on which test was done (there are 15-20 of them in the US). Check back on both issues with the doctor or clinic where you were treated. ...Read more

I always have a mucus type of liquid in my urethra and always have small stains on my underwear in the morn, bu neg. For all tests. What could it be?
Ambiguous: You don't mention if you're male or female and it does matter. If male, you have urethritis - may be chlamydial, gonorrhea, or non-specific. If female, you may have vaginal or urethral discharge: trichomonal, candidal, mycoplasmal, as well as gonorrhea or chlamydial. "all" tests are probably not negative. You should get tests: For other possible causes of urethritis or urinary infection. If you are not circumcised, it's possible that you may have local yeast overgrowth causing irritation. Especially since you were on medication that would not cure all potential causes of urethritis or all sexually transmitted infection, you may need more tests and treatment. Avoid sex until your doc says you're OK, and partner treated. ...Read more

See a urologist.: Diagnosis of a skin lesion such as this requires a detailed history and physical examination. What can cause urethra pain in a mail if he has had tests showing no abnormalities and has taken cipro (ciprofloxacin) and his culture is now negative.?
Complicated: He should seriously consider seeing a urologist. Although probably harmless and something that will resolve with time and good diet, this could be something more serious that needs to be treated. Meanwhile, continue using condoms, even though the tests are "negative". Always play it on the safe side; you don't want to play ping pong with chlamydia, an infection that can affect your fertility. ...Read more

Penis urethra touched public toilet bowl. 6 week Oraquick showed neg. status. No risks previous, HIV negative before this incident. Risks?
Here are some...: Your alert about catching something (?STD) is highly commended, but overboard for life reality. In daily living, we rely on 2 lines of self protection to fend off the invasion of infective agents: first, external with skin and mucosa; second, internal with personal humoral immunity. So, if the first line is not broke, one will not catch it; if yes, one may not develop illness if humoral immunity.. ...Read more

Can a slightly narrow urethra in a man cause chronic non-std epidymitis? I keep getting it and that is my only real thing wrong with me. All tests neg
Doubtful: I doubt slight urethral narrowing would cause epididymitis. But I wonder if you have recurrent epididymitis at all. If you don't have obvious enlargement and marked tenderness of a single testicle, epididymitis is unlikely. It rarely causes just testicular pain or discomfort without swelling, and rarely both testicles at once. Maybe chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS)? Google it for more info. ...Read more
