I have a bowel movement every day but it's always dry and grainy like sheep stool. I've tried everything: fiber, water, fruits, veggies, nothing work!

I SEE NO PROBLEM: As long as you are moving your bowels daily and there are no other symptoms and you are not taking any medicine and have no coexisting medical condition.I will not worry about the stools which are grainy and dry You should continue high fiber diet and increased fluids. But if you have any other symptoms than consult your doctor. But at next doctor's visit discuss your concerns as well ...Read more

Should i be concerned having bloody bowel movements?

Yes & No: You are still young to have serious intestinal problem like cancer. Most rectal bleeding for young people is from hemorrhoids. If you are constipated, take some laxatives or stool softeners. But you should still see your dr and be referred to a gastroenterologist for a colonoscopy to be checked for the above. Have a blood count too to check for anemia. Best wishes! ...Read more

What do normal bowel movements look like?

What do normal bowel movements look like?

Why is it that every month around that time I have severe pains with bowel movements and when I sit down?

Pain bowel movement: The first thing i would ask is "are you female?": women can have ovulation pain or even mild endometrial pain with a bowel movement. Either way, if it consistently happens, make sure you don't ignore it, and bring it up with your doctor. ...Read more
