If I got lightly scratched by an unvaccinated cat a month ago and the cat is still living with no signs of rabies is it posdible that I got rabies from the scratch?
Unlikely: If the cat is well 1 month after your injury then no. We generally watch questionable animals for 10 days. All the best. ...Read more

Bite wound infected: Rabies works from the inside - so you won't see any outward redness or signs like that. The bite area however, could certainly get red, painful and ooze pus. If this is happening, you really need to see a doc to get help. You don't want this infection getting out of control. Obviously if it was a real rabies risk you need to follow up with the docs to make sure you don't get it. Take care. ...Read more
I got scratched by a car it's been like a month and so and its a stray cat do you think I got rabies or cat scratch fever ?
Locate the cat: Cats, dogs and ferrets are the 3 animals that we know we can monitor them for 10 days - and if they are 'fine' after a bite or a scratch, then you won't get rabies. The problem is, cats CAN be instrumental in propagating disease - so I would take this seriously. About 1 in 1000 rabies cases is from a scratch, so the odds are low - but I would still see a doc about this for more info. ...Read more

Rabies risks: Dogs primarily are responsible for transmission of rabies to people. It would be extremely rare for a rabbit to transmit rabies. In addition, your rabbit is not sick so the risk is essentially zero. Not sure "why" someone gave u a rabies vaccine shot for that-- I don't think u need any more treatment. I got my rabies vaceens all done but then i kissed my boyfriend i am really concerned about that he get the virus but appearently they said it is a low percentage but other then we cant give blood to another person for uone year is that mean are we still
Do not be: concerned about transmitting anything related to the rabies vaccine you received. Rabies is a non-live vaccine and poses no risk to the recipients of blood. I suspect the reason you may have been told to wait a year after the vaccine is if you sustained a bite which prompted the vaccine. Blood donation is deferred in this situation, being VERY cautious. Kissing is OK! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
