Is 133.5pmol/l for estrogen and 1.31nmol/l for progesterone low or high if I've been on zoladex (goserelin) for 7 mth?
See answer: Depends on the reason you are on Zoladex (goserelin)...If it is Endometriosis, then your pain should have resolved or if you are on it for bleeding then bleeding should have resolved. Bottom line is it shouldn't matter what your Estradiol and Progesterone are, although your ovaries are suppressed by the levels you posted and your medication is working. Hope this helps. ...Read more
How long does it take for zoladex (goserelin) injection to work IV had it 10 days ago and still in pain with cyst on ovaries?
IV ZOLADEX (goserelin)???: I do not think that zoladex (goserelin) IV is a currently used treatment for a painful ovarian cyst. Without details as to size and an ultrasound exam showing the cyst's characteristics, I cannot recommend treatment. A painful clear ovarian cyst can be aspirated with ultrasound transvaginal guidance and the pain should go away within a few hours, if not sooner. Hope this info helps! ...Read more

I'm using zoladex (goserelin) 10.8mg, but when I search about zoladex (goserelin) it says "the 10.8-milligram syringe should not be used in women" why?
This is an uncommon effect of the drug seen in 1-5% of patients on the original studies. There can be other causes of increased blood pressure from the hormonal side effects as well.
It is a good idea to meet with your family doctor to discuss treatment of the blood pressure. In many cases stopping zoladex (goserelin) might not be easy to stop. ...Read more
Oncologist recommends zoladex (goserelin) to be injected, given the side effects, is it worth it?
Yes: This assumes the reasons for advising the medicine are valid. With that in mind the answer is yes, overwhelmingly. Also, there are no "side effects" to zoladex (goserelin), (goserelin) only "effects". The goal of zoladex (goserelin) is to lower testosterone levels. Low levels result in a predictable set of issues over time. Side effects (unexpected problems) do not happen w/ zoladex (goserelin). Only the expected! ...Read more
