He eats burgers pizza fries mashed potatoes and pasta and that's it are there health programs to help him learn how to eat better?
See nutritionist: It sounds like a visit to a nutritionist would be a good idea. Also just a discussion with the family doctor could help with understanding the long term problems with such a diet. Please also understand that people have to be motivated to change their behaviior (or food) or all the education in the world will not help. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Can you eat raw frozen and raw fresh vegetables as long as you rinse them first? I don't see the issue since we don't cook our raw fruit.
OK for most BUT...: Many people eat only raw vegetables (and raw food) for health benefits, but many nutrients in vegetables are better absorbed when cooked (esp. if boiled or steamed) while others are degraded by cooking. Cruciferous veggies have chemicals that suppress thyroid function if eaten in excess that are deactivated by cooking. It's safe but ...: Cooking is about flavor and aroma and texture and mouth feel. There are many different rices and while they are all largely carbohydrates (starches) they have other subtle distinguishing characteristics that you will just have to explore for your recipe. Tastykakes BAD!!!: Most yeast infections occur after antibiotics. Usually there is some yeast overgrowth in the intestines as well as vaginally and sugar/starches feed the yeast, increasing chance of recurrence. Unsweetened peanut butter is OK but sweets like tastykakes are best avoided as much as possible. Taking probiotics will help too. See http://tinyurl.com/234ag4b ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
