What is the recommended mattress for pinched nerves in c-6 c-7 and dislocated disc?

None: If you have this injury it is not going to improve by getting new mattress. A pillow change may make you more comfortable. Usually these injuries (if causing pain and symtoms) require an evaluation by a spine surgeon. ...Read more

Within brain and spinal cord these nerves connect to other nerves via synapses on both axons and dendrites. A nerve can carry information regarding sensations, and ...Read more

I have several old injuries to my back, like dislocated tail bone which caused pinched nerves and broken vertebras.. Anyway, I recently rehurt my back and I'm in a huge amount of pain.. I've tried 800mg Motrin and flex aril that the er prescribed but noth

Suggestions: Would visit a physiatrist and try to localize cause of your discomfort. Meds are merely palliative, and will coverup but not cure. Physical therapy may be useful, and eventually a back exercise program will help. You may benefit from back injections, acupuncture, osteopathic treatments, or even prolotherapy, but you need to uncover pain generator! ...Read more

Can a pinched nerve cause body to feel tingly and weak. Had dislocated knees and shoulder. Not recent though. Can my chiropractor help solve this?

Can a pinched nerve cause body to feel tingly and weak. Had dislocated knees and shoulder. Not recent though. Can my chiropractor help solve this?

They treat nothing: That's the all-purpose delusion of chiropractic: Every problem is a "pinched nerve": Not just back pain, but everything: Depression, impotence, constipation, deafness, acne, flat feet, asthma, allergies, you name it. As a neurologist, I'm here to tell you: Your chiropractor has no more real knowledge about the human body, health or disease than you do. Chiropractic is quackery with a capital Q. ...Read more

One of my spinal chords in my lower back is dislocated and is pushing on my nerves, causing me a lot of pain, is a disk surgery recommended?

No: Your vertebrae are likely not dislocated as this is a result of high-energy trauma and requires surgery for reduction and stabilization. You likely have bulging discs, which is normal in 15% of the population of your age. Physical therapy will likely help you and maybe steroid injections if pt doesn't work. Hold off on surgery, it's always the last resort and you're very young. ...Read more

Sling, rehab: A first- time shoulder dislocation is generally managed w/ a sling, NSAIDs ( ibuprofen) and gradual mobilization /physical therapy in your age group. The chance of re- dislocation/ subluxation is fairly high, however, and some ORS recommend stabilization( arthroscopic or open)of the torn labrum cartilage ( Bankart lesion)in young athletes dominant shoulders. See an experienced shoulder surgeon.GL! ...Read more

Can you please explain what 3 lumber dislocated discs are because my MRI shows 3 on my spine thank you.?

Can you please explain what 3 lumber dislocated discs are because my MRI shows 3 on my spine thank you.?

Not all discs equal!: The MRI scan is a very sensitive test. As people age it becomes more likely that some sort of disc damage, or desiccation (drying and shrinking) will be found. Many of these findings are not clinically significant, i.e. Not a cause of pain. Findings such as a herniated disc (a disc that has been squeezed out of it's normal location) that is pinching a nerve or the spinal cord is more credible. ...Read more

Hi, my second last spinal disc has moved a little to the right like1-2", I have a little pain 4 days later, willl it heal itself? Its still dislocated

Likely: Most "slipped" discs or disk herniations will resolve in time (90%). However if you develop weakness or sensory loss or loss of bladder control it is important to see a surgeon emergently. Without those symptoms the best option is pt. ...Read more

Can TMD cause the whole row of lower teeth on one side to be painful? If disc is dislocated, can it go back to normal on its own?

Yes and Yes*: TMJ dysfunction can be the source of pain in teeth in the upper and lower jaw as well as other areas of the head and neck. A dislocated disc in the TMJ complex that is displaced can go back to its normal position. *Deformation of the disc and/ or damage to the ligaments holding the disc in position, and length of time the disc has been dislocated may factor in if the disc can return or not. ...Read more
