Can you suggest some good reading references for adult behavior modification (physical health issues) in a non-clinical setting?
Health issues: Mind body approaches to health issues include a trip to the doc to rule out or diagnose medical conditions if that has not been done yet. Then consider "Feeling Good" by David Burns for cognitive therapy to help mood disorders. "The Divided Mind" by John Sarno is good for pain. A clinical psychologist who specializes in health psychology or behavioral medicine can facilitate this process. Peace ...Read more

It's how you use it: Nostalgia can inform beneficially, or it can just make you "live in the past". Using what you value from the past to guide your design & construction of a good life now is good. Being bitter, angry, critical, etc of the way things are now is probably bad. I have a strong feeling that you already knew this, right? Learn from the past, protect the future and live in the present in ways that do both. ...Read more
I do forensics research, & i'm revising a list of precursors for illicit drugs. Having a hard time finding a good ref. Site/ book. Suggestions? Thanks
Keep digging...: Haven't seen a cookbook (the government surely frowns upon cookbooks) for illegal drugs. Keep checking one website after another, and your data will grow. The site http://www.Incb.Org/incb/en/precursors/index.Html leads to a page of precursors, but doesn't say exactly which drugs each precursor is used to make. Also, ask president obama (http://www.Whitehouse.Gov/ondcp/precursor-chemicals). ...Read more

Is kissing a high-risk behavior, low-risk behavior, or a no-risk behavior for contracting hiv? I'm a high school student and i'm taking a health & physical education course. I'm having a hard time finding the answer to this question.
According : According to the center for disease control (one of the best sources for accurate information): "it depends on the type of kissing. There is no risk from closed-mouth kissing. There is an extremely low-risk from deep, open-mouth kissing if there are sores or bleeding gums and blood is exchanged. Therefore, persons living with HIV should avoid this behavior with a non-infected partner." for the sake of your homework, i'd go with no-risk. Below i've attached the cdc website on HIV transmission. Maybe you'll get extra credit for specifying the no-risk vs. Low risk behaviors. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
