Depends: The U.S. Food and Drug Association has studied the effects of caffeine on the body and determined that "Moderate" caffeine intake was safe (Less than 300mg per day). Safe does not mean it is good and healthy however. Supplements: Generally supplements can be helpful if they keep you from being hungry at night. So can good food without high glycemic indices. I often recommend chromium piccolate or tea with camomille. Sleep habits are behavioral. Do not replace good relaxation and bedtime preparation for something like melatonin. NO, sadly many!: As a very starchy food with a high glycemic index (60) ; glycemic load, eating maize is not particularly good for health. In general sugars ; starchy foods like grains ; potatoes are not very good for health. Fried foods are also bad, as are gmo foods ; food from animals fed gmo's, grains ; hormones.
