Carbohydrates: Eaten alone, chapathi and rice may cause your blood sugar to rise rapidly. Insulin doses and pancreatic response may not be able to keep up. If you want to eat those foods, adding protein, non-starchy (fibrous) vegetables, and healthy fat will help your system deal with the carbohydrate more gradually. Yes: White rice has a high glycemic index, which means it causes a rapid rise in your blood sugar. Part of the Insulin response to that rapid increase in blood sugar makes you fat. A tiny amount won't hurt, but it makes it difficult to lose weight. Replace the bread with vegetables. Not rice. Starch is not a required part of a meal. NO, sadly many!: As a very starchy food with a high glycemic index (60) ; glycemic load, eating maize is not particularly good for health. In general sugars ; starchy foods like grains ; potatoes are not very good for health. Fried foods are also bad, as are gmo foods ; food from animals fed gmo's, grains ; hormones. There are two many?: There are two many to recommend even three or four! but there are many considerations. Stay with 100% whey protein if possible, avoid soy blends. Not as efficient. Avoid those with large amounts of carbs, which is usually milk sugar. Flavors are nice. Avoid the added expense that added branched chain Amino Acids add! and cost. Whey is whey.
