Good Blood Pressure And Pulse
Blood pressure is a measurement of the force placed on the blood vessels and is comprised of the "systolic" pressure (the top number on a blood pressure meter) which is the peak pressure when the heart is pumping, and the "diastolic" pressure (the bottom number on a blood pressure meter) which is the pressure during the resting phase ...Read more
Pressure in waves in epigastric area, 57 yr old fml, (fluorometholone) for 5 days. Normal ekg, chest xray, blood work. Good blood pressure/pulse. Heart issue unlikely?
Maybe: A heart issue is possible but that description isn't typical so it's not high probability unless there's more to it. Does she have diarrhea? I'd be more inclined to be thinking of gastroenteritis. If the symptom occurs with exertion, is relieved by resting, or is associated with unusual breathlessness, it should be pursued as a possible heart issue.
See a doctor: A pulse rate of 37 is too slow, and needs to be evaluated right away. If this is the accurate rate, it may indicate a serious heart rhythm abnormality. Please go to the emergency department at your hospital.
Yes.: A "good" blood pressure is one that supports adequate circulation, and is not high enough to be considered abnormal, generally around 135/80, depending on whether or not you have certain cardiovascular risk factors such as diabetes or coronary heart disease, or kidney disease. If you are having no symptoms such as dizziness (especially upon standing), then your blood pressure is fine.

Exercise: You are unlikely to see any changes before six weeks of consistent aerobic exercise at least half hour a day.
Be on the look out: Overall your husband blood pressure isn't particularly concerning but it does somewhat matter what his baseline is, as some people have baseline very high blood pressures and these numbers could cause some problems (FYI that's rare). But his pulse is rapid. This is something that you may need to seek in person evaluation from his physician. Best of luck.
Um...: From what? Doing what to make it normalize?
Why is my blood pressure and pulse all over the place? 147/110 pulse 89. Yesterday 131/84 pulse 113.
BP varies: 62F asksWhy is my BP & pulse all over place? ANS: The goal of the BP control systems is to keep blood flow to the brain and heart as needed. BP varies with every heart beat. 24 recordings show sys told varying by over 50 and diastolic over 20 in normals. I recommend taking each AM before meds. Sit 5 min, take 3 discard first & ave last 2. Track running average. Ignore day to day variation.
What does it mean if your blood pressure and pulse go from 106/68 98 to 98/48 130 just by standing up?
Orthostatic changes: You should wait a couple of minutes after standing up and then recheck your blood pressure and pulse. If heart rate remains elevated and/or blood pressure drops as mentioned, you should be evaluated by your doctor, especially if having symptoms such as dizziness. The cause of such changes may be dehydration, hormonal, neurologic, medications, etc.
Hi, Is there a connection between blood pressure and pulse. If one goes up will the other also rise!!! Thanks..
Yes: Cardiac output is = HR X BP; and CO is fixed. So if HR low, BP can get pretty high in order for body to maintain C.O. Sometimes older patients with have heart block or low heart rate undiagnosed, and manifest with high BP. The astute physician will know this relationship and see if excess BP is actually a preservation mechanism to maintain output in the face of low hr.
My blood pressure and pulse has flip flopped this week but never been as low as it is today. These are my readings 113/55 p 69, 114/59p 68, 115/57p65. What should I do?
Not always bad: Blood pressure below 120/80 is not always a bad thing. As long as you are not having symptoms you should be fine. A heart rate below sixty, for example, is considered bradycardia (slower than normal) but can be completely ok if non-symptomatic (extremely fit people like runners etc). Notify your doctor of any light headedness or dizziness.See 2 more doctor answers
