Will augmentin 875mg 10days cure untreated gonorrhea Chlamydia?

Will augmentin 875mg 10days cure untreated gonorrhea Chlamydia?

Hard to say: Gonorrhea can be resistant to any penicillin like antibiotic, including Augmentin. Chlamydia is also resistant to Augmentin. If you believe you have acquired one or both of these you need proper testing to see what if any you have along with any others that may be present. Treatment if needed can be based on what is found & use effective drugs. ...Read more

Treated 2 weeks doxy 1 gram azithromycin for pos. chlamydia. Now neg. Urethral itching, discharge when squeezed, urinary urgency persist. Moxifloxacin?

You should get tests: For other possible causes of urethritis or urinary infection. If you are not circumcised, it's possible that you may have local yeast overgrowth causing irritation. Especially since you were on medication that would not cure all potential causes of urethritis or all sexually transmitted infection, you may need more tests and treatment. Avoid sex until your doc says you're OK, and partner treated. ...Read more

Can non chlamidial ngu cause pid in female partner. Gonorrhoea, chlamidia, mycoplasma genitalium, ureaplsama , trich all negative. No std found. ?

Can non chlamidial ngu cause pid in female partner. Gonorrhoea, chlamidia, mycoplasma genitalium, ureaplsama , trich all negative. No std found. ?

Probably not: Neither PID nor any other health problem has ever been documented in the sex partners of men with NGU not due to chlamydia or M. genitalium. Does your partner have PID, or are you just worried concerned about it? If the latter, my advice is to not worry. If PID is suspected, she of course should see her doctor or perhaps an NHS GUM clinic. Otherwise nothing need be done. ...Read more

Ngu oral sex. Chlamydia, gc, myco gen neg. 1 swab was 7wbc. wife took doxy & I took aizthrmycin 1g. swabs since <5wbc. Never discharge or pain. Ngu?

Unclear treatment: If you and your wife’s tests are all negative indicating no infection then it is unclear to me why antibiotics were given. Doxycycline and Zithromax in those doses are standard treatment for chlamydia yet both of you were negative. Treatment should not be based on WBC alone especially given that you have no symptoms. Clarify the underlying problem trying to be addressed please. ...Read more

Can chlymidia reappear 10-15 years later?

Possibly: Chlamydia is an intracellular organism. It may not even be symptomatic on initial infection, and as such can become symptomatic well after exposure. Testing is good but there are false negatives. ...Read more

Ngu from oral sex 1yr. No discharge 1g azithromycin, 2wk doxy, 6wk cipro (ciprofloxacin). All swabs since neg but still feel symptoms. STDs neg inc MG & UU. What now?

Probably not NGU: NGU doesn't do this. Without discharge, it is unlikely NGU is the problem. Non-response to those antibiotics plus your test results mean you have no infection at all but probably a non-infection problem. Perhaps the chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS) (google it for more info). Happily CPPS is an issue of comfort, not harm. Find a genitourinary med expert, e.g. your local NHS GUM clinic. ...Read more

TB: Active tuberculosis is characterized by fever, night sweats, chills, weight loss and dysfunction or inflammatory changes in the area of the body affected. You seem to be fixated on the possibility that you have this and it is very unlikely. If you continue to be otc about this either go and see a doctor or perhaps a psychiatrist or psychologist. Good luck. It is very doubtful you have active tb. ...Read more

Puedo tener una infeccion vaginal aunque no tengo comezon u otros síntomas ?

Puedo tener una infeccion vaginal aunque no tengo comezon u otros síntomas ?

Often yes: Vaginal discharge requires an examination to determine the cause and treatment. Bacterial vaginosis is the most common cause and often has a vaginal odor. Vaginal itching can be a sign of a yeast infection. Sometimes vaginal discharge can be a sign of a sexual transmitted infection. Testing is important to determine the treatment and keep you and your partner safe. ...Read more

This doesn't tell: There is nothing here to say "yes", but this doesn't rule most stuff out. You may have hpv / human papillomavirus, sypilis, chlamydia, hiv, hepatitis, crabs, herpes gonorrhea or trichomonas that is not active, the pap smear isn't about ruling these in or out; it is primarily a search for malignant / premalignant cells. I'm sorry if there was some confusion. Best wishes. ...Read more

Chlamydia &gonorrhea; got shotfor BV & 1 dose 4 pills of azithromycin.sex 6 days after treatment & got Bartholin cyst- am I still contagious/infected?

Stop sex, see MD: The shot (probably ceftriaxone) was for gonorrhea, not BV. Bartholin gland infection can be caused by gonorrhea, chlamydia, BV bacteria, and others. You shouldn't be having sex with these problems until all symptoms cleared up. Return to your doctor for re-evaluation and probably additional antibiotics(s). Partner also needs treatment if not yet done. Good luck! ...Read more

Can Amoxicillin-Clavulanate (Augmentin) 875-125 MG Treat gonorrhea, chlamydia and STI's?

Can Amoxicillin-Clavulanate (Augmentin) 875-125 MG

Treat gonorrhea, chlamydia and STI's?

If dosed right: Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) would help kill off some strains of gonorrhea, but not all. It would likely do nothing for chlamydia and many other STI's. It would be best to get in to see a provider knowledgeable about current treatment protocols and get correct treatment, if needed. This is nothing you would want to self treat with borrowed meds. Several of these germs can make you sterile. ...Read more

Had ecoli uti, took AB, symptoms didnt go away, got retested @ 24 days and ecoli gone, now have morganella morganii 10^8cfu. no stones. US no blockage?

Morganella: This bacteria can be resistant to the major groups of antibiotics and that could help explain its presence. The important question is -- 'is it causing disease'? This question would be answered by whether you have symptoms or not, and whether there are markers of infection in your urine test (like increased WBCs). Hopefully indeed there is nothing wrong with your urinary tract. Talk with doctor. ...Read more

Had cellulitis 6/1, treated 1g rocephin, 10days Bactrim Ds 2 pills BID. On 7/13, I learned I had gonorrhea, sex 13days prior, did he give gonorrhea?

Had cellulitis 6/1, treated 1g rocephin, 10days Bactrim Ds 2 pills BID. On 7/13, I learned I had gonorrhea, sex 13days prior, did he give gonorrhea?

Probably yes: You can be 100% certain you did not have your gonorrhea when you were treated with ceftriaxone (Rocephin) and bactrum; that treatment for sure would have cured gonorrhea. Therefore, you had to catch it sometime later. If your only partner or exposure since then was the one 7/13, that's when you caught it. That partner needs exam, testing, and treatment for gonorrhea. ...Read more

Hi, I suffer from reaplasma parvum biovar 1 and ureaplasma ureaticum biovar 2.What are biovars.

Normal bacteria: I doubt you "suffer" from either of these bacteria. Both are entirely normal in the genital tract. "Biovar" is a technical term that doesn't mean anything here. U. parvum is the same as biovar 1, and U. urealyticum the same as biovar 2 -- just different names for the same things. They rarely if ever cause symtoms or disease and no treatment is necessary. Don't worry about it. ...Read more

It may: This is standard one stop therapy for STD's whether testing is positive or may be falsely negative. There are other possibilities that may become apparent over time but this hits the ones that are treatable & easily passed to others. ...Read more
