Separate: You can add glycolic acid, but do so at a different time of the day then when you are applying the BP cream. irritation is common, especially when using multiple products. Always apply products 30 minutes after washing, in a small amount, to avoid irritation. ...Read more

Scientific Rx: I appreciate your frustration. If two weeks on topical benzoyl peroxide has not cleared you, you are unlikely to get a good result with glycolic acid alone. More sunscreen: That is a low amount of protection. Suitable for only small amounts of sun exposure. If you are in the sun you should use at least spf 30 and go higher the lighter your complexion and longer your sun exposure. ...Read more

This may be a burn: You may have removed too many layers of skin in this particular area. I suggest avoiding cortisone as this may delay healing. Topical Bacitracin might help and covering with a bandage if possible. If this does not help you should see a dermatologist. ...Read more
