Globus etc: Hi MelaniH~ you have REFLUX which is the central issue, because GE reflux while recumbent can cause gastric fluid to enter the esophagus and spill into the lungs. Could be.: Globus sensation is usually not felt on only one side of the neck. As long as you are able to swallow and breathe easily, then you can see if this goes away on its own. If it worsens, or if it persists longer than a day or two, then I would see your doctor. Need more info: The sensation of a lump in the throat without any actual physical obstruction or problem. Sometimes there is a dismotility issue. Usually the idea is that there is nothing physically wrong but it because of anxiety or depression and this is the person's manner of expressing their symptom (somatizing).
