Glass stuck in my finger how can I remove it?

Doc-in-box: Unless it is visible & grasp-able with tweezers at surface, then should go to an urgent care center for proper removal. Since it is sharp, usually on all sides, it can do more damage where it is, or to fingers attempting to remove it, if done incorrectly. ...Read more

Cut my finger with glass now black and blue and swollen. What is the best way to treat this?

I would encourage: You to have this injury checked medically. If your last tetanus shot was more than 10 years ago or you aren't sure when it was, then it is time for another one. Concerned by your description of finger - would want to rule out infection. ...Read more

I broke a glass approx. a month ago and a glass splinter got stuck in my finger. It has now healed over the glass splinter. It is too small to see on x-ray. Should it come out or is it ok to keep in?

Leave it alone: you can leave it alone if it is hard to be seen by Xray, there is no guarantee digging for it will lead to anything. if your body do not like it then you can wait until the body rejected it and ten it will be easier to have it removed. ...Read more

I think there may be a fragment of glass in my finger but can't see it is it harmful?

Depends entirely: on size of glass fragment and how deeply it is imbedded. If you cannot see it, it is either too small or too deep. It is best to show it to a doctor, especially if you have any pain or redness surrounding the area. ...Read more

See your doctor: It's impossible to be able to tell you exactly what is going on through this type of venue. Could it be infected? Could there be a piece of glass still in there? Could it just be some scar tissue that you are seeing? It needs to be looked at, to better sort out the possibilities. Best of luck. ...Read more
