No problem: A reader will magnify the image and allow smaller details to be seen. Magnification is routine for those dealing with fine details such as jewelers, watchmakers, electronic assembly workers, etc. There is no harm in this and you will have the enjoyment of seeing finer, smaller objects. ...Read more

+2.50: +2.50 would probably be the closest, but try them on. Pick the weakest ones that let you read at a comfortable distance. Remember, the stronger the glasses, the closer you have to hold the reading material and the smaller the range of vision. So, for a computer distance you might try a 1.25. ...Read more

Ad eye floaters for years but on and of I get pressure in them and hurt to touch could this be eye tumours blurred vision up close reading glass it'ok?
Different symptoms: Floaters don't have "pressure-like" feelings. It sounds like you're experiencing pain when pushing on your eyes. Well don't do it then. Blurred vision could be a need for new glasses. You're old enough for reading glasses, which are fine. Because your symptoms are varied, an exam would be very helpful to sort them out. An eye tumor would be a very unlikely concern, but again an exam will help. ...Read more
Why can't they make a progressive eye glass lens where the vision for intermediate and reading is wider... Even to the edge of the frame?
Not optically done: Progressive lenses have two issues: 1) giving a continuous grind to allow for several distances of clear vision and 2) cosmetic optics so that the continuous grind is not evident. They could make a lens with a much larger optic as you are hoping for but this would produce obvious optical distortions that would make the lens look odd and would not reach the edge of the lens anyway. ...Read more
I had a cataract one eye surgery 2 months ago. I still havereading problems. I have difficulty reading computer screenand books even with + 4 glass. What should I do?
Glasses too strong?: If your distance vision is good without glasses then +4 is too strong for reading or computer. Try +2.00 for computer and 2.50 for reading. You can get those at any drugstore. If that doesn't work you need to go back to your ophthalmologist and see what the problem is. ...Read more
Tricky: As the glass can be hard to see and removal without care can damage tissue around the glass. I recommend going to an er to check this out. Ultrasound is a great tool to look for residual glass in the wound. You might need antibiotics to treat/prevent infection. Overall, not a good idea to deal with this on your own. ...Read more
Almost certainly: A glass marble cannot be digested and will almost certainly pass intact. All the valves in the intestine will push this through. If it does get stuck the symptoms will be obvious. If you are really concerned you can collect the stool starting at about 20 hours to 3 days after the ingestion to see if it passed. If there are symptoms you may need to go to an er but this is highly unlikely. ...Read more
