Slight infection: The glands in your neck are lymphatic glands. Lymphatics basically take the fluid between the cells and send them to glands with white blood cells. If the white blood cells find an infection (virus, bacteria) they multiple and your gland gets bigger. So during a cold the glands can get bigger. This is normal. That is uncommon: To have it in a gland in the neck, appendix is not that uncommon for endo, you hopefully u are being treated by an expert in endometriosis like at the nearest univer.
