Probably your immune system would clear giardia, but not necessarily; some infections may persist indefinitely. If you have giardia and are on medication for that but have not gotten the test results yet-can you also take immodium?
Be careful with meds: Imodium (loperamide) is not a 'cure all' and I actually prefer my patients NOT to take it unless absolutely necessary. It seems also ur diagnosis is still in question -do u or do u not have Giardia? Diarrhea is 'good' in a way, since the body is getting rid of germs.
