Giant Plateles And Normal Cbc
My Eosinophils and absolute count is high and also normocytic normochromic on CBC. WBC / RBC / Platelet is normal though. Does it alarm for Leukaemia?
See below: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, there is no cause for alarm. It would have helped to have the actual numbers. Eosinophil count may be high due to allergy, skin rash, and parasites. ...Read more

Few months ago CBC with low rbc, wbc, hemoglobin, hematocrit, platelets. Since then CBC normal, but some low platelets. Often feel achy, could be hiv?
HIV does not Hide: If you are worried about an HIV infection then you go get an HIV test. HIV is diagnosable by testing from seven days after exposure onwards with the correct tests. It does not hide and we no longer need to worry about ambiguous symptoms. If your HIV tests are negative then I do not understand the concern. There is nothing in a CBC test that would represent an early HIV infection. ...Read more
Is WBC count 13.500 normal for a 6 year old with myelocytes and activated lymphocytes. High platelets and normal RBC s?
More info needed: More specifics about the CBC are needed. 13, 500 may be a normal white count in a six year old. Finding an occasional myelocyte is not a problem. Activated or stimulated lymphs usually are associated with a viral process. Increased platelets --depending on how high they are could represent an inflammatory process or iron deficiency or other disorder. Discuss with your doctor. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Context: As a pathologist, i spend a lot of time telling other folks, "don't focus on the numbers, focus on the person." a low absolute monocyte count seldom means anything. A low percentage of monocytes may reflect a transient increase in other cells due to the slight stresses of minor illness or everyday life. If your physician is not concerned, you should not be either. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
1477 lymphocytes 6170 neutrophils and 8120 WBC are considered normal?? My lab test shows lymphocytes and neutrophils out of range.advise plz
It is best : To have the doctor who ordered the test to provide interpretation. He or she would know more about your medical history and there may have been other tests done to help provide some context. You can have variations in your lymphocyte and neutrophil count and still have a normal WBC count. ...Read more

Are borderline low platelets (174x10E3/ul) and 2 petechiae on abdomen suggestive of leukemia? WBC, RBC, differential all normal and feel fine. Thanks!
Not leukemia: Petechiae due to low platelets would require a much lower platelet count, under 20,000 or so and often lower than that. So whatever the marks on your abdomen, they aren't petechiae due to low platelets. And with the rest of your blood counts normal, leukemia should not be on your mind. See your doctor if you remain concerned, but I see no reason for worry. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Cbc WBC always in the normal range 5.7 but noticed last few tests neutropolis and lymphocytes fluctuate alot especially lymphocytes near low normal ?
I have an atypical lymphocytes 13 % slightly elevated wbc which is 10.50, normal differential count normal esr and crp.
Consider a workup: I'd be curious to see if these lymphocytes could have an abnormal clone. First step would be a repeat test. If still showing atypical lymphocytes, a blood test called a flow cytometry would be the next step. Most causes of atypical lymphocytes, especially in young patients, are benign. Talk to your doctor or try to see a hematologist if possible. ...Read more

Odd statement: You present information in a format that makes little sense. No lab reports WBC 16.9%, they give a count. Perhaps you need to start over and give more accurate info. These questions are never linked, so you must start over and make any question complete. ...Read more
