Depends on what for: Generally "GI cocktail" is antacid/anti-gas/numbing medicines. Taken when symptoms e.g. heartburn/dyspepsia occur, often to distinguish causes but not as long-term remedy - thus when taken depends more on when sxs than necessarily timing of meals.
