Could you tell me why I can't get over this UTI or kidney infection?

Could you tell me why I can't get over this UTI or kidney infection?

Many possibilities: 1) bacteria causing your UTI may be resistant to your antibiotic. 2) UTI will never clear if you have an infected bladder or kidney stone, stone would need 2b removed before UTI will clear up. 3) urinary tract does not empty completely from retention, urinary reflux, bladder diverticulum etc. 4) area of chronic pyelonehritis or infection in kidney calyx which antibiotics can not reach.

I'm having weekly injections of gentamicin for kidney infection, but still can't get rid of it?

I'm having weekly injections of gentamicin for kidney infection, but still can't get rid of it?

Pyelonephritis: If you are only taking gentamicin once a week you probably have significant impairment of renal function, in which case this is a very complex issue and may require input from an infectious diseases expert who can see and examine you and has access to your records. Good luck

I'm haveing middle back pain im afraid it might be a kidney infection should I go get checked out or is it just normal back pai.?

Could br kidney: Usually pain related to the kidneys is on the sides and travels to the belly if it is caused by a stone. If you have fever or burning on urinating you may also have a urine infection and then you will need cultures and antibiotics. If pain is related to movement it is most likely muscular or due to bones.

Can having a kidney infection cause you to miss you period. I was suppose to get mine july 5th and haven't got it and the test are all negativa?

Possible: There are many things that can affect the menstrual cycle, as you know. However, I would think that the kidney infection would need to be rather significant accompanied by fever, chills, body aches. In other words, significant enough that it would affect hormonal and other bodily function. I do not feel that a simple bladder infection or a mild urinary tract infection would disturb the cycle.

See your physician.: Kidney infections are serious and require prompt treatment with the right antibiotic. Hopefully you have a urine culture result by now which will show the correct antibiotic. Flank pain is common even on proper therapy, but worsening pain & fever requires re-evaluation with physical exam & possibly imaging as your current regimen may be inadequate. See your physician as soon as you can.

No: The bacteria that cause a UTI (e. Coli most common) generally gain access via the urethra (the tube that passes from the bladder to the outside) which does not come into contact with the toilet seat during normal voiding.

I have a kidney infection. When I lay on my side that is inflamed I get a burning sensation right in that area. Is that normal or should I be worrie?

Kidney infection: Kidney infection (pyelonephritis) generally causes fever, chills and very significant flank pain. One generally feels "sick". It is a systemic infection. Bladder infection (cystitis) rarely causes systemic symptoms. Discomfort in the pelvic area and irritative voiding symptoms are typical. It typically is a "localized" infection limited to the bladder.
