According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

Fibroids: Many women get pregnant with fibroids. Only rarely do they cause significant fertility problems. Ask your doctor if you are a candidate for a sonohysterogram. This would allow visualization of the mouse to determine if it could easily be removed. Your age of 39 is a bigger risk factor for your fertility than a 1 cm fibroid.

What percentage of time/how common is it to get a 2nd uterine polyp or for 1 2 grow back after removal of a polyp? Ave length of time this happens?

Hard?: Uterine polyps are not that common to begin with. I am not sure what procedure was performed to remove them. If that was a d&c, then the polyp or polyps got removed entirely and it should not regrow quickly unless it is cancerous. If it regrew and the biopsy was not cancer, then it could have been that it was not removed in the first place. Anyway, we need more details on that.

Does removal of uterine polyp with d&c completely stop bleeding b/w periods?

Does removal of uterine polyp with d&c completely stop bleeding b/w periods?

Not necessarily.: If the polyp was causing the bleeding between periods and it was removed, likely this problem would go away. There are other reasons for bleeding between periods, though, and if this was not addressed, the bleeding may continue.

Does endometrial polyp cause disordered proliferative endometrium? Can I get pregnant with disordered proliferative endometrium? Thanks

Does endometrial polyp cause disordered proliferative endometrium? Can I get pregnant with disordered proliferative endometrium? Thanks

Non uniform growth: A disordered proliferative phase endometrium indicates that the lining of the uterus (endometrium) is not growing in response to estrogen in a uniform way. It can cause an endometrial polyp from estrogen "overgrowth" and it is difficult to conceive until the problems are rectified.

My biopsy says endometrial polyp and disordered proliferative endometrium. The polyp was taken but no treatment given for dpe Can I get pregnant now?

My biopsy says endometrial polyp and disordered proliferative endometrium. The polyp was taken but no treatment given for dpe Can I get pregnant now?

Endometrial tissue: Endometrial polyps can be removed via hysteroscopy. An Endometrial biopsy is not usually effective at removing a polyp. Disordered proliferative endometrium is a normal benign finding and would not impact when one choses to get pregnant.

Regular cycles: If the diagnosis of disordered proliferative endometrium was preceded by a uterine curettage, the disordered endometrium should have been removed providing an opportunity for an orderly cycle with the chance of pregnancy to commence.

Could removal of endometrial polyp cause piercing of the uterus and hence infertility?

Could removal of endometrial polyp cause piercing of the uterus and hence infertility?

It's possible: But not at all likely. Even if your uterus was perforated by hysteroscopy, it wouldn't usually lead to infertility (as long as it was managed.).

See your doctor: All things being equal, pcos is one of the easiest problems to overcome. Your uterine polyps need to be addressed first. Good luck.

I am diagnosed for 1cm polyp or fibroid in cornu. Do I need to get that removed for getting pregnant?

I am diagnosed for 1cm polyp or fibroid in cornu. Do I need to get that removed for getting pregnant?

Maybe: Is the polyp in the cavity in front of the ostia? If it is, you can have it removed hysteroscopic ally, which does not involve any incisions.
