Hernia surgery: Depends on what type of hernia, but in general you can go back to unrestricted activity after 6 weeks. Since it takes a few months of being pregnant to actually notice changes in your belly size, you probably don't really have to wait to get pregnant. Review records: Its hard to answer that question without reviewing records. Most hernia repair are done without complications. The ovary is push back into position and the hernia is repaired. In some cases if there were any complications, i.e. surgeon was unable to reduce a strangulated ovary, it would need to be removed.
