According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

When getting off the pill after a couple years is it still possible to get pregnant the first month after been off the pill? Or the chances are less?

The chances are: Are likey a little higher. Since the ovaries have been resting, once the signals from the brain (that have been not active due to being tricked by the pill) hit the ovary, ovulation is improved. There is not a wash out period with the pill nor are you storing hormones from the pill. Good luck, remember to take your folic acid. Good luck. ...Read more

Is taking 2 sugarpills and then going back on the active pills before getting period to skip it last minute like missing active pills? Am i protected?

You are protected: Some people feel that periods are not necessary. In any event the active pills are what prevent pregnancy. To me, the biggest benefit to having periods is to confirm that you are not pregnant. Even the pill is not 100% protection from pregnancy but it is pretty close. ...Read more

What is the chance of getting pregnant the day you finish your withdrawal period after stopping the pill?

What is the chance of getting pregnant the day you finish your withdrawal period after stopping the pill?

Low: The time a woman is most fertile is about 2 weeks before the next period is due. For a woman with a 28 day cycle this is around day 14. So the day a woman finishes her withdrawal period after stopping the pill she isn't very fertile. It is possible to get pregnant then but not very likely. Most woman after stopping the pill will start ovulating a little later in the cycle anyway. ...Read more

No Chance: No chance. Here is how i operate with my patients. I try to work as their partner. I encourage them to know the facts and when their brain is driving them crazy with impossible things to breath and to trust the facts. To get pregnant a female must be exposed to semen. You weren't. How high is the chance of getting pregnant off precum when had sex the week which ovulation start but didn't cum.I am also on cryselle BC.

Birth control: If you have taken your BC correctly and reliably the failure chance would be between about 2-8%. Precum has not been studied for pregnancy, but should be treated as a risk. You don't ovulate while on birth control. Overall risk sounds very low, if you miss the period (on the pill-free week) do a pregnancy test. Good wishes. ...Read more
